I tried reading Cathy Maxwell's book once and it didn't turn out good. (It was Gillian's book, "The Earl Claims His Wife"). I disliked the heroine and hated the hero too. No matter what reason lied behind their actions. But then, there was one kind character in that book that caught my attention, Andres. No surprise, he got a book of his own in “His Christmas Pleasure”. The pace of the story wasn’t too quick. That’s refreshing. It built up slowly and both of the characters were lovable. Well, in the middle, it seemed the writer decided to make life easier for both of the characters (and yes, the ending too) but it wasn’t too big a problem for me. I just love how they interact with each other. P.S: Andres Ramigio might be the one of the best hero material in the romance section.
