Read from December 14 to 23, 2010

** spoiler alert ** This was my first, and last, Fannie Flagg book. Her writing style makes for easy reading, but is it worth reading???? Her characters are colorful and quite different, from an overweight eater to a midget real estate broker.

In my opinion, the Edward/Edwina Crocker subplot was the most enjoyable & interesting part of the book. It took three questers of the book before I really cared what happened, and that was only to Edward and Edwina.

As far as Maggie goes, . . For crying out loud, kill yourself already!!!

To save your self time, read the last 10 pages. It's all there and you do not to suffer through 290 odd pags of, I do not know what.

Kathy I'm reading it too. I hope it picks up pretty soon. Seems like a pretty slow start.

Pat Baratta I feel the same way. It starts to pick up later on.
