In elementary school, David and his best friend Elliot loved to make Jon Stewart-like videos called Talk Time which they posted on YouTube. At the start of middle school, Elliot suddenly stops being friends with David, and starts hanging with the school bully. David makes friends with a girl (gulp!) and tries not to let things bother him. When his videos suddenly go viral, he begins getting more attention than he ever expected. Unfortunately, not all the new attention is positive...

This is a fun, entertaining book, but it had a LOT of pop culture references. I think the book would have been stronger if it referred to a fictional character who was like Jon Stewart, rather than constantly referring to the actual Jon Stewart. The references will make this book sadly dated down the road. While it has a lot of humor in it, it also deals with the issues of bullying and changing friendships.
