Geoffrey Canada is a gift to the lives of the children, families, and communities that he touches through his and his staff's work. This book is inspiring at worst and has helped me gain a more profound understanding for the realities of violence as it relates to my students. My nickname for Mr. Canada is "The Messiah" and this book is another great example of why I deem him worthy of that nickname. His writing craft is quite moving as is his poetry. Merci Mr. Canada for putting this all down in a book as you have contributed to my education.
