Shannon Hale has yet again delivered a delightfully captivating story with complex characters, humor, danger, and adventure. Isi and Enna, the main characters from the first two books in the series, are here; but this is Razo's story. Unlike Isi and Enna, he does not possess a "speaking" gift. His story revolves around discovering and developing his own natural talents and the awkward transition between childhood and manhood.

I am eagerly looking forward to Hale's next installment in this series!

“Razo hopped back up and adopted a posture that said he was completely unruffled, never had been, and in fact was ready to do something manly like lift boulders or swallow live worms.”
