Definitely worth reading at least the first section of the book and the conclusion. What I found most valuable were the discussions on meditation, compassion, dealing with death, and helping others through the process. The discussions on life after death, rebirth / reincarnation, and the bardos (stages of death) were interesting from the standpoint of understanding where Buddhists are coming from, but not in alignment with my beliefs.
