I adored Seventh Son, but so far, Red Prophet has yet to catch my attention. It's likely that the horrific stereotyping and bigotry oozing from every page has something to do with it.

Amy (That's also how far I got into the series. About 1/5 into Red Prophet. And I was only 11!)

Renée Johnson I'm not having quite as much trouble with Prentice Alvin, book #3. It's also racist, but it's not the whole focus of the book. This one feels much more like book #1 in its range, and I'm enthralled, again.
