Mercy is a thrilling start to a new series. The main character, Mercy, is an angel who finds herself in the human bodies of various people for various amounts of time. She has no control over this at all. This time round, she is Carmen Zappacosta, a choirgirl sent to a small town called Paradise in order to sing. Her host family are being torn apart after the disappearance of the daughter Lauren two years ago. The son, Ryan, is an enigma - a very attractive enigma. Anyway, Mercy/Carmen and Ryan team up to discover what happened to Lauren, who took her and is she still alive? Well, the big reveal of who the culprit is took my breath away. It wasn't that it was unexpected as such, but it was violent and raw, emotional. I cried at the end, and can't wait to read the next. Also, there is a few entertaining scenes with a certain golden individual by the name of Luc...
