Hoo-wee, the romance junkies are going to go bananas for this one. Told from Adam's POV, Where She Went picks up a couple of years after the ending of If I Stay
. Adam has become a successful rock star, but he's not with Mia and he's a mess. At first I didn't find Adam's narration quite as convincing as Mia's had been in the first book--his tortured-ness seemed a little forced. But I ended up buying him as a character.
Some readers (Abby) will be disturbed by the name-dropping of punk rock bands, but I don't think most teens will mind. This book could be read on its own, but it'll pack more of an emotional punch for those who've already read If I Stay.
