This book was a fascinating read. I listened to it and I am convinced that had I read it on my own instead, I would not have gotten so much out of it. The reader was excellent. I enjoyed learning about the backgrounds of the members of the flag raising photo and how their lives were lived both before and after the war. It puts into perspective the reasons so many who go off to war don't want to talk about it. This is a book I will buy for my home library.
