David Sedairs, how i love thee. his book can be read end to end or in no paricular order, if you chose the random order a great story is SIX TO EIGHT BLACK MEN, which is halarious and almost as quotable as mean girls, as the imagined saying goes. i am not going to pretend that the text will embed in you some haunting moral, but what will stay with you forever is the skill in which Sedaris regales the rather ordinary happenings of his life, how he depicts others and most amusingly how he shows himself. that skill is what will be driving you to goodreads a week or so after you have completed it, to write a rave reveiw, just as i am doing, now. it is that skill that will bring you to the nearest barnes and nobles/ boarders to get any one of his other books [or one of his sister amy sedaris' halrious books].
that being said, this is MY opinion. i'm not know for having quote on quote normal taste, so if you are one of those gossip girl loving, story line following people, you might not LOVE [or even like] it.
