Not really a review but I just had to say...
I actually started listening to this ON Black Friday this year. And whoa! talk about a little freaky!
Horror novels never scare me because so often they are so farfetched I know never in a million years would the stuff happening in them ever occur in real life. A good straightforward non-paranormal thriller can totally scare me though. Why? Because the storylines are so plausible that they really COULD happen in real life!
A terrorist strike shopping malls on the absolute busiest shopping day of the year? I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. And use just regular teenagers who enjoy a good prank by tricking them into participating, not knowing what they are really doing? I can believe that could happen too. This whole book gave me chills and thrills and I'm lucky I didn't have nightmares from it! It probably wouldn't have gotten to me as much if I had started it on any other day of the year, but starting it ON Black Friday (and no I didn't plan that, it just sorta happened), I'll admit it, I was more than a little freaked out by the storyline. And I did not want to go anywhere NEAR a shopping mall that day already so reading this that day just clinched it for me. I stayed far far away from my local mall. LOL
