** spoiler alert ** Going against the love of most readers to this series this book sounded just like all the rest to me. As a stand alone book it would have been fine. But it seemed like an old western where the plot was well known and rehearsed.

"Man takes a beating, rescued by girl, girl taken or harmed in some way, man rescues girl."

The names might change, but the plot is pretty much the same as the others in Patterson's "flock" series. Individually, the books meet my desire to fly and be part of something but as a series, the repetetive nature has taken its toll. There is no reason for me to read any more of Maximum books.
