Yet another sad dog book. You'd think he was the only one to have ever lost a pet. By the end of the book, I just wanted it to be over. Very bad writing.
His experience is similar to mine except it was with my cat. Maybe I should write a book called "Rescuing Ruby." It would be about the same: aged cat who shows up one day; delightful, affectionate kitty; gets diagnosed with a chronic illness (hyperthyroidism) and then slowly declines over 2-3 years until she finally dies in her sleep. I miss her and my other cat Pearl, but we have to realize that #1 they are animals and #2 we gave them a good life while we could.
