The book Coming Back STONGER was about how Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints gave hope to the city of New Orleans. The city of New Orleans was crushed when hurricane Katrina destroyed the city. Everyone lost their homes, their property, and even lost some family members. They were looking for something to give them hope and something to have them look forward to. That is where the New Orleans Saints come in. It all starts with their quarterback Drew Brees. Drew could do it all at the quarterback position. In Drew’s childhood he was surrounded by football. His uncle played for the University of Texas and his grandfather was a high school football coach that is known throughout the state of Texas because of how many wins he has had. After hurricane Katrina Drew Brees helped out the city in two ways, one is on the football field and also off the football field. Drew would put in his time to help clean up the city when he had the time. Then when he was getting ready for football he trained harder than ever. He knew the city need something to be proud of and that is what he gave them.
The things I liked most about this book was how it talked about his life up to him winning the quarterback for the New Orleans Saint. He talked about his childhood and how that shaped him to who he is now. Knowing about his childhood also tells you why he is so competitive and why he loves the game of football. Then I also like how he talked about his college years at the University of Purdue. Also when he talked about his college years he just didn’t talk about football he talked about how he struggled at school a little bit. I can honestly say I liked everything about this book. I was trying to think if there was something I disliked about it and for about 10 minutes nothing came to mind so I thought it was just a great book all the way around.
I would recommend this book to someone who was a part of hurricane Katrina. I would also recommend this book to people that like the game of football and also if you are a fan of Drew Brees you would also like this book.
