This was an odd little book. I bought it because it was on the super-sale table at Elliott Bay, and I liked the title and cover design (I know, don't judge a book...well I'm glad I did). The cover of my copy is not the same as the cover shot that accompanies this review, which i find a bit dull - the cover, not the review. It's a detective novel and I don't particularly enjoy detective novels, but it sort of plays with the conventions of a detective story in a very clever, self-aware sort of way, and I don't particularly enjoy clever, self-aware writing, but I did particularly enjoy this book. Though by the time it was over I felt that I had had enough of that for a while.
