It is so much fun reading these books again with my kids. I loved them the first time around when I was a kid, but now so because I can recognize my kids in them! ;-) Ramona's interpretation of The Star Spangled Banner, 'dawnzer lee light' is priceless! She reminds me of "Clementine" and I love how we get in her mind to see how her interpretations of events. I like to see the thought process behind some of the things they do and how they are not being deliberately naughty, but it all makes sense to them in their heads. I think it's good for grown-ups to read this kind of stuff to understand where kids are sometimes coming from.
