I like how Garrett becomes more and more mature as the series has progressed, and this book demonstrates not just how much he's matured, but how individually powerful he's become over the years, collecting allies on the right side, the wrong side, and straddling the fence of law, how he's deeply involved with some of the most powerful merchant consortiums in Tun Faire, and how oblivious he is to it all. He's still just an normal joe with a detective business and a more exciting life than he sometimes wishes.

I can't wait for the next book in the series... buying it today.
