This was a decent book and it was really interesting to find out some of the horrible things that go on just to get ahold of diamonds...my future wife is not getting one!....Africa is a very complicated place! Lot's of bad things happen there and you never hear about them living in America. I might have to read some more books on going ons in Africa.

If only the way Diamonds made their way to people was as fuzzy and warm as the Emerald distribution chain you imagined!I don't know why people are so set on clear Diamonds either. Emerald would be sweet! Beryl, one of my favorite minerals. I would have totally gotten you a Beryl ring ;)

I've always wanted an emerald engagement ring. Green is cooler than clear for sure. I like to imagine leprechauns skipping their way through a magic forest where they stumble upon chunks of emeralds. They then send the emeralds via rainbow to jewelers all over the world.
