Enjoyable read! I was expecting a chronological account, and it was more like how you would tell stories (subject by subject rather than using a strict time line). I thought it was fun to read because both of my grandmothers are about the author's age and grew up on farms in Indiana and Iowa, so it was interesting to think about how their lives may have been similar and gave insight on some of their behaviors, sayings, etc. It is also bittersweet to read about farms from the past since they have drastically changed since that time.
