Read from November 20 to 24, 2010

I very much enjoyed this fictionalized biography of Cicero narrated by his slave and secretary, Tiro who invented his own system of shorthand. The book is well researched and tells the story of Cicero's legal and political career from his early training in Greece to his election as one of the two Consuls in the Roman Republic. I listened to the audio CD edition and very much liked the way in which it was read by Simon Jones.
