Books 1-4 were good. Book 5 was tolerable. This one was awful. My liking for this series, which has been circling the drain on since Chosen, has officially died. The writing in all six books are terrible, though the first three or four actually have a plot that is not composed 75% of Zoey angsting about which one of her man meats she actually loves. For those of you not in the know, over the course of the story, Zoey has had a total of FIVE, count 'em, FIVE, possible love interests, includong her TEACHER, with whom she had sex. But is Zoey a ho? No! Zoey couldn't possibly be a whore, even though she cheated on two boys AT THE SAME TIME with her TEACHER. But that isn't slutty! Right?! Funnily enough, the Queen Bee character, Aphrodite, who was originally portrayed as a slut, has managed to stick with the same guy for almost FOUR WHOLE BOOKS!! Maybe Zoey should be taking notes.

Mary Sue's, I mean, Zoey's, character is my main issue with the book, but there are others. Fo example, not every teenage has to drop the F-Bomb every two sentences. The book is filled with slang, literally every other sentence. And it's not even realistic!! I haven't said 'poopie' since I was about three. The writing is really poor and so is the grammar. The whole tone of the story comes across as whiny, immature, and shallow, which, considering, is not actually surprising. Plus, the Casts' character portrayals are stereotypical. True, they have many ethncities in their stories (for instance, Miss Mary Sue herself is Cherokee, ooh), but they are unrealistic. If the Casts were trying to be diverse, they failed miserably. Gay guys aren't obsessed with shoes. The one black character, Karishma or whatever her name was, cannot say anything without some kind of grammatical error.

In short, don't waste your time on this book. Cast was obviously trying to relive her teenage days when she wrote this book, and this is the very sad result. This book is trashy and sends a bad message. And by the way, I'm totally rooting for Darius and Aphrodite.
