Some readers may be disappointed that this book gives only a few glimpses into specific times in Bob Dylan’s career. For the true Dylan fan there is plenty of new information in here. He writes about singing in coffee houses and living above Gray’s drugstore in Minneapolis before he went to N.Y. or wrote a single song. He also talks about his early influences in Greenwich Village. How they led him to attempt songwriting and how they influenced his style. It was wonderful to see how Dylan himself saw those early days after reading so many other authors impressions.
