This was an easy read and a fair page-turner. I felt it suffered a bit by trying to do two things at once - telling a murder / child disappearance story and say something valid about the world of the autistic child. These aims were brought together quite well, but I would have preferred clearer focus on one or the other.

There was an author interview section at the end, which cast additional light on the writing of this novel, and for me also explained some of its weaknesses.
