I couldn't wait to read this book when I first heard about it. A book all about fonts? Every time I open a Word document I spend about ten minutes diliberating over which font to use and notice when others just revert to the default so I was intrigued by a whole book on the subject.

Just My Type is an informative read but it has also been written with some humour and you can sense Simon Garfield's passion for all things type.

While it was an enjoyable book (and satisfied my font-nerd curiosities) I felt that it became a litte disjointed and repetitive in the later chapters. Despite this, I still really liked Just My Type and it has given me a new appreciation for some of the fonts on my drop-down menu that previously I just admired and typed away in without much of a thought as to why or how they came into being.
