Fantastic!
I'm expected a lot in this book, 'cause now Percy Jackson won't be the main character anymore. I thought three new demigods will like the " copycat" of Annabeth, Grover, and Percy. But they have totally new character. This book is a lot more humor than Percy Jackson series.
In this book, it continued the prophecy of " The Last Olympian". Oh , I read and I gasped, then read again. Rick Riordan's writing is better than. The one who told the story are the three new demigods, Jason, Piper, Leo.
And great cover, Disney Hyperion.
Unfortunately, I still don't have a book. I had to download the ebook from Internet and read the *whole night*. In the morning at the class, I felt very tired, but that not important.
I do my best to read the Lost hero.
Cannot wait The Son of Neptune <3

Seven half-bloods shall answer the call
To storm or fire, the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.
The Lost Hero is the first book of the series Heroes of Olympus (HOO!)
which continues the Percy Jackson series. The book has the combination of Greek and Roman mythology with fantasy, adventure, humor, romance,...etc and of course, breathtaking. It's hard to stop in the middle of the book, you'll have to read all from start to end. It was really amazing, (( yeah, that's why I have to hide in the blanket all night to read it))
He had lost his memory. He couldn't remember who were his parents, how old is he and while he was on a school bus. All he could know that his name was Jason. He didn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus to the Grand Canyon and realized he was holding hands with a girl. She was beautiful and acknowledged she was his girlfriend Piper, another funny kid named Leo told him he was his best friend, and they’re all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for “bad kids.” What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea—except that everything seems very wrong, things were worse when he realized who was he, who was his father, and who he had to go to rescue.

She had lost her father for three days. All she could know that he was in a danger through her vivid nightmares most of night. Things were worse when her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood.
Although Piper is pretty and brave but she hated to admit that. She was even shocker when she knew that she was a demigod and her mother was not her favorite goddess.

He had lost his mom since he was young and all he got was a pyscho babysitter who was the queen of God (spoiler). But that was when he was young, now - Leo loved tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, fine-looking girls and a bronze dragon that could breath fire. What’s troubling is that nobody wanted him to have that dragon 'cause it was dangerous. But nothing could stop him to get the dragon. He will make his dad proud. After all, he was a child of a fire god.

Oh, I love the introduction. Jason's courage and leadership, Piper's charmspeaking, and Leo's humor.
Don't ever compare them to the trio in Percy Jackson. The Lost Hero is completely different and really amazing.
Jason, Piper, Leo had always thought they were normal kids and went to a boarding school. But things went crazy when a storm spirit attacked them at the Grand Canyon. They had nothing to do except - fight for their lives. Jason realized he could fly and had an amazing coin - it could turn to a sword. Things were weird-er when a bunch of people appeared, Annabeth and Butch asked for a guy named Percy Jackson. Of course, they couldn't understand what was that about. Jason, Leo, Piper then whisked to Camp Half Blood, where they find their true identity: demigods.
Child of lightning, beware the Earth
The giants' revenge, the seven shall birth
The forge and dove shall break the cage
And death unleash through Hera's rage.
Jason, Leo, Piper knew that they had a mission, a deadly mission.

“It'll be dangerous," Nyssa warned him. "Hardship, monsters, terrible suffering. Possibly none of you will come back alive."
"Oh." Suddenly Leo didn't look so excited. Then he remembered everyone was watching. "I mean... Oh, cool! Suffering? I love suffering! Let's do this.”

“Destroy it?' Leo was appalled. 'You've got a life-size bronze dragon, and you want to destroy it?'
'It breathes fire,' Nyssa explained. 'It's deadly and out of control.'
'But it's a dragon!”

“Hera: Ohh, Thalia Grace, when I get out of here, you'll be sorry you were ever born.
Thalia: Save it! You've been nothing but a curse to every child of Zeus for ages. You sent a bunch of intestinally challenged cows after my friend Annabeth
Hera: She was disrespectful!
Thalia: You dropped a statue on my legs.
Hera: It was an accident!
Thalia: AND you took my brother”

“Oh, and Drew, honey?”
The former counselor looked back reluctantly.
“In case you think I’m not a true daughter of Aphrodite,” Piper said, “don’t even look at Jason Grace. He may not know it yet, but he’s mine. If you even try to make a move, I will load you into a catapult and shoot you across Long Island Sound.”
Drew turned around so fast, she ran into the doorframe. Then she was gone.”

“Leo frowned at the giant's spire. "Can't we blow it up or something?"
"Without me, you do not have the power," Hera said. "You might as well try to destroy a mountain."

“Leo cried, "Hold on! Let's have some manners here. Can I at least find out who has the honor of destroying me?"
"I am Cal!" the ox grunted. He looked very proud of himself, like he'd taken a long time to memorize that sentence.
"That's short for Calais," the love god said. "Sadly, my brother cannot say words with more than two syllables--"
"Pizza! Hockey! Destroy!" Cal offered.
"--which includes his own name," the love god finished.
"I am Cal," Cal repeated. "And this is Zethes! My brother!"
"Wow," Leo said. "That was almost three sentences, man! Way to go."
Cal grunted, obviously pleased with himself.
"Stupid buffoon," his brother grumbled. "They make fun of you. But no matter. I am Zethes, which is short for Zethes. And the lady there--" He winked at piper, but the wink was more like a facial seizure. "She can call me anything she likes. Perhaps she would like to have dinner with a famous demigod before we must destroy you?”

“I'm the son of Jupiter, I'm a child of Rome, consul to demigods, praetor of the First Legion. I slew the Trojan sea monster, I toppled the black throne of Kronos, and destroyed Titan Krios with my own hand. And now I'm going to destroy you Porphyrion, and feed you to your own wolves."

I have read the percy jacksons but not these, but...Jason sounds a little like Thomas from Maze Runner.
