For what it's worth this book was quite good. It was entertaining and had a nice twisty little plot. The life of the stage was nicely described and felt quite real. The main character was nice - quite pleasant, but not perfect. He fell in love disgustingly and was foolishly blind to his beloved's glaring flaws. The attempts to reproduce dialect speech were a bit off-putting at the beginning, but I got used to them. I appreciated especially the way the plot was so fantastical in places that it seemed a bit like a Shakespeare play. It was a fun read and might help a younger audience to identify with Shakespeare.
