Strauch writes a surprisingly upbeat book about the brain and aging. For those of us who are over 50-- especially if you're like me and watching a parent deal with dementia -- every forgotten name or errand makes me wonder if my memory is becoming impaired. This book uses current research to reassure boomers everywhere that some kinds of memory loss are normal (tip of the tongue moments, forgotten names) and that our brains have actually improved in other ways.

Now if I could just find somebody to write this reassuringly about my retirement accounts, global warming, etc., I'd have it made!
