A very intense thriller! When popular high school girl Lucy Cunningham goes missing, it's worrying to Madison, who was the last person to see her the night she disappeared. An anonymous teen blogger has posted that she/he wanted Lucy dead, as well as others in her clique, and then one of Lucy's friends disappears too. The tension escalates as this previously safe suburban community grapples with a horrible crime. I wanted to like this more, but I found it hard to like the main character. She was too helpless and clueless for some scenes, though I think that was just to increase the suspense. The alternating points of view between Madison's narration, the blog entries, and the kidnapper's voice did keep it interesting. Fair warning: The book gets a bit gory, and the villain is truly deranged.
