Ms. Shayne has some skills in the paranormal romance genre that I won't deny. It was not perfection for me but the 'icks' were few, far between, and minor. The heroine, Morgan, got on my nerves but all the other characters lived up to my expectations. There were some vamp traits that I did not like such as Dante climbing a tree to get to Morgan's 2nd floor bedroom. Most vamps could jump it or fly or something. Dante could not turn into mist or anything. He was basically an immortal with too many weaknesses. None-the-less, the story was solid and well paced. I will read the next one in the series as it sounds interesting.

I thought this was a first book in a new series but it is not, it's like number 7 or about. It's dark, interesting characters, and a tightly woven plot. Good ingredients, edible so far." 5 comments
