Ben, a movie nerd with cerebral palsy, and Colleen, a druggie, have little in common---or so it seems. They both have an open honesty and sense of humor and exploration that draws them toward each other. This unlikely duo exchanges dialogue that rings with wit while getting to know each other and making a movie. Koertge is blessed with the gift of creating realistic fiction dealing with issues like drug abuse and disabilities while still balancing it with tender warmth and humanity.
