I know it’s hard to believe that a book where a four-year-old has leukemia can be funny and totally enjoyable, but Jordon Sonnenblick has a real knack for bringing humor into his heartwarming young adult novels. "Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie," Sonnenblick’s first book before "Notes From the Midnight Driver," does a great job of mixing a love for drumming with the frustrations of thirteen-year-old lust, and the trauma a family feels during times of dire illness. Good from start to finish - and clean as well!!!
