The books flows back and forth between 93 Jacob in a nursing home and him as a 23 year old man on joinging a travelling circus.

The books opens with a murder and unusually we know the identity of the murderer, I thought this was strange but all becomes clear later.

The book could easily have been longer and more indepth and perhaps this lets a down a little as I was left wanting more. Would definately look out for more books on this topics as I found Circus Life fascinating.

I loved the anecdotes of circus life and the contrast of the nursing home and can see why this is going to be made into a film April 2011.
