What a marvellous, uplifting story! One of Australia's favourite comedians, always willing to have a go with a huge smile on his face, tells his story of fleeing Vietnam as a child with his extended family on a boat. Attacked by pirates (twice!) they finally make it to a refugee camp in Malaysia before coming to Australia for which he is very thankful. He talks about the achievements and trials of his family. A very timely story given the current prejudice and lack of understanding around refugees coming to Australia. I cannot recommend this lovely memoir highly enough.
