** spoiler alert ** This book definitely gets a LOL rating. I burst into laughter so many times while reading this book, my husband got seriously annoyed with me. Brother and sister pair, Mr Peter Merriot and Miss Kate Merriot, are traveling to London. At their inn for the night they discover an elopment in process that the lady involved, Miss Letty Grayson, has soured on after seeing her husband to be drunk. The Merriots jump to the rescue and cleverly send the offending gentleman on a wild goose chase. Not until about page 28 does the reader discover that Mr Peter Merriot is actually the tall lady Prudence and Miss Kate Merriot is her younger brother Robin. The Merriots must maintain their camouflage, while their father attempts to prove that he is a long lost peer of the realm. Both of the Merriots fall in love and obviously the antics ensue from there.
