After reading The Worst Hard time I think Kalish had it easy during the depression. Yeah they worked hard and were frugal but at least they weren't eating dust.

Anyway, this book is less about The Depression and more reminiscing about how life was in the "good ole days."

I enjoyed some of her stories though it did read like a transcripted oratory. the parts about frugality and recycling made me realize how wasteful we are today.
