** spoiler alert ** In the third and final installment to CRANK & GLASS, there finally comes a book about love and Hope. (finally!!) When I found out Ellen Hopkins had written yet another book about Kristina's demise I was a little bummed out. I mean, I get the picture. Doing meth sucks and it can really devastate you in more ways than you could possible imagine. But as a devoted fan, how could I miss out? And FALLOUT proved to be something much, much better than the tale of the Monster again. It is a book ultimately about hope; hope to break the cycle, hope to find what has been lost, hope to live life for what its worth. With that said, FALLOUT is a wonderfully refreshing and I didn't feel myself cringe with pain and terror constantly. It feels good to see Kristina's children working their problems out, playing with the (albeit twisted)hand dealt for them. In fact, I think this is one of Ellen Hopkin's rare books that end without disaster or calmity. No death, not sucide, no rape (at least not directly in the book). It's fantastic in its own right and a perfect ending to the sequel.
