I don't know why I continue to read this series. It's like a guilty pleasure or some hidden shame I have or something. I finished the first book and couldn't figure out if I liked the series or not. I have now finished the second and I still feel even more confused.

Before anyone jumps on me, yes I realize Todd is uneducated. But excuse me for a moment when I say him and his "girl" are just plain stupid. They survived the whole first book and they get to Haven and they apperently are dumber than a post. I wanted to scream at the book that all the things were happening and they just blindly follow like idiots.... and what's up the with the hint of love/romance.... does not fit/work/do anything for the story at ALL.

But yet there I was, sitting reading to the end captivated. Now I am done and I sit there and wonder... why this book kept me captivated yet I have such strong feelings for it.
