This book is very heartwarming. The main character Asumi has a dream and it's to be an astronaut. The bond between Asumi and her dad is strong because eventhough they are poor right now, but the dad gives her the money for the intuition and wishes Asumi to follow the dream that she has been chasing for so many years because a child's happiness is a parent's happiness as well. I really loved this bond that they share because Asumi doesn't want to burden her father but her father wants to takes on the burden by working longer hours in order to accumulate money for intuition, it's really sweet. Asumi loves space because she has a astronaut ghost friend who made her fascinated about space and Asumi's mom died when she was little so she used to believe that her mom is a star in space. Asumi's love for space turns in to determination and she is determined to past all the tests that the academy might throw at her despite her size (very short). I believe that it was due to Asumi's determination to become an astronaut was the attraction that draws people with special strong reasons, such as her friends, close to her. i really love this book because it's inspiring.
