5++ STARS!
Wow, just wow.
I usually wait for many goodreads' friends to have read the book and adored it before starting it myself. I don't like to try new books. But I'm so HAPPY I read this one. I'm not sure what made me read it because I seriously never read a book that isn't already a best seller or loved by many before but I did read this one and I just want to recommend it to everybody else.
Hear me out here, there's just no way you won't love this book guys! You have to read it! It's so good you wont be able to believe nobody told you before so you could have read it sooner. Well, I'm that girl, and I'm telling you all you need to read this book right away. It was so good I still can't believe it's over. I never thought I would be this excited about contemporary romance but I'm loving it now. I just want you all to understand this is one of those reads you can't help to love.
In this book we have a Quarterback who spent a year apart from his wife because they were having problems in their marriage. In that year the heroine got engaged to another man and the hero is desperate to win her back. We get to see how they try to make things work once again. But I swear I have never read something that felt so real before. I just felt part of their marriage and needed them to be okay. I got so involve with this book that I just wanted to help them myself. It is so clear all the time they love each other, and all the problems they face are not their fault at all. We also get to see how difficult a marriage can be when you're famous, which was a great change in my readings. I have read about famous couples before but never like this one.
You just have to read this book. It wont make it into my favs shelf because I'm a series chick and standalones are not my thing. But it definitely was one of the bests I have ever read. Just please don't start it thinking this will be the read of your lives because that usually makes us not like books as much as we would if we start it thinking it's just another book,LOL, don't let my review ruin it for you guys. Level your hopes, control yourselves,LOL. And definitely enjoy this read!

There is a new series coming out next year by Jaci Burton, first book will be The Perfect Play, I love her writing so I would recommend that as a tbr ;)
I did!! I really did! I adored this book. I just can't believe nobody recommended it to me before this, it was so good!
I love football players and one awesome football book was "Playing for Pizza" Try that one too!I will read this one...first to find in Chapters! Have a great day, Karia
Thanks! I definitely love this kind of books. I'll add the one you just recommended. I hope you get to read this one because it is really good!

Thanks for the recommendation Lady Vale! I would read this book based on the cover alone....LOVE guys with tats...especially the arm bands **sigh**
OMG!!! O_O Lady Vale! I so envy you right now! LOL Guess I have to wait till Feb 2011 for the release of 'Everyone Loves a Hero' hehe Let US know if you got the chance to read it in advance hehe
Thanks Yuzai, I know, it was so nice from her to give it to me. I still can't believe it. ARCs may be common there but they don't even exist in my country and to buy books from there and bring them here is very expensive. For example I pay x price for a book and the double of that to only bring it here. So unfair, but some books you just need to have them in your shelf at home, lol.
I feel like such a terrible cougar...my son plays football and we stay to watch the "midget men" which means 18yr old men and my oh my...blushing and trying not to get caught ogling by DH. tee hee...Yup, North America is good for the man candy!

Thanks for the recommendation! I've been in kind of a reading slump lately so I'm looking forward to reading this since it has so many great reviews.
I'm so glad you liked this book. I've read everything by Marie Force and not one book has disappointed me. You will have to read Fatal Justice, the first in her Fatal series. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for number two.
I'm reading more of this author very soon because for me, Line of Scrimmage was an amazing read! I wont be able to resist more of this author! LOL.
You've sold me on the book! I get a chance to book shop this weekend so I certainly will look up Marie Force. I love finding new series to read. Thanks for the recommendation
Thank you!! I really hope you guys like it as much as I did. I never recommend books, but this one I just had too because I saw many of you have not read it and for me it definitely deserves a read! Loved it!
Thanks to all of you for checking out Line of Scrimmage and my other books. I so appreciate your enthusiasm!!Hugs,
Marie
Great review, Lady Vale -- on one of my all-time favorite contemporary romances. I discovered Marie's LINE OF SCRIMMAGE when it was first released. I've been singing its praises ever since. Such a wonderful story with great characters. It's a definite reread every six months or so. I love a "sports-related" story BUT this book was so very much more . . . emotional, funny, romantic, fearful, sad and thankful. It definitely satisified my love for a good reunion romance as well. You definitely need to read Marie's other books. And check out her website. She's got so many interesting items to read, along with excerpts, etc. And she also has a new Romantic Suspense "Fatal" ebook series through Carina Press that is a winner. You'll see info on her website relating to that as well.
I would highly recommend each and every one of Marie Force's books to everyone. By the way, Marie hosts a weekly book club blog. This week's featured book was "Simply Irresistible" by Jill Shalvis. Everyone should come by and visit. Lots of fun and lots of great reader reviews.
I'll definitely be reading more of her. I loved this one so much! Thank you to the ones who read it! I'm happy you all enjoyed it too! I would feel guilty for recommending it if you didn't.
I'm really dying to see how much you all will like it! Please, you just all have to let me know once you finally read it.
im at the book store trying to find it.. only to be told that.. "is online only" meh.. i will download it today!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the recommendation. Just based on the category, (totally romance) and the cover (totally female oriented), I wouldn't have even considered Line of Scrimmage, but I trust your judgment in book quality and level of entertainment and/or emotional involvement, so I'll at least check it out.
Great review, Vale!! Ryan Sanderson was just all kinds of perfect, wasn't he? You and I are on a roll with these sports romances. So...what are we reading next??
LOL, I know, I'm obsessed, I'm starting one soon. We should read the same one. What did you have in mind? I was about to start The Trouble with Valentine's Day (Chinooks Hockey Team #3)by Rachel Gibson, but if you have something different in mind let me know. I'm not crazy about this series and I would have no problem to start a new one. But I love the sports theme and would like to stay with it for a while longer,LOL.
