Found this book recently while I was unpacking, and really enjoyed it. Four and a half stars for the plucky orphan who escapes from prison in England to make a new live in Colonial America.

Kathryn Sounds wonderful! I will have to look for a copy. I'm especially drawn to this time period and the storyline sounds great :-)

CLM I think this is one of the books that was tickling the back of my mind when Lisa was trying to identify her beloved indentured servant story. I am delighted to rediscovery it. Funny, I can see it on the shelf in a library that was not my usual branch, as if it was yesterday...
