With the help from the mysterious Mr. Benedict, Kate, Constance, Sticky, and Reynie have all been accepted to attend L.I.V.E (Learning Institute of the Very Enlighten). There they are to be spies and must try to unlock the mystery of why children are so important to this institution and what they are being used for.

Each of these four children have special gifts and they must come together to solve the mystery and save the world.

At first I liked this story, great imagery, fun characters, but as I read on I lost interest as is seemed to drag just a little too long. I think I was hoping for a darker tale instead of a happily-ever-after. The end was just a little too perfect for my liking. Still, it’s a fun tale for younger readers, 10-12 year olds.
