There were two stories of the series called Witch and Curse in one book. To tell you the truth, these stories were a little uninteresting and I expected something a little more original because it was all about witches. Many fantasy books are mostly about witches and their spells. I honestly don't know the themes of these novels because like I said, they were a little boring. But I am going to take a guess and say the theme of the first novel is Power because Holly Cathers learns she is a Witch and knows there are great benefits such as having power when being a witch. For the second novel, the theme is determination because Holly is determined to find her love, Jer whom she barely knows but their ancestors had an affair with each other. The novels also contained flashbacks of their ancestors from a long time ago and that is what bored me because there was no action. The only thing I liked was the love between Holly and Jer because it is intense that I want more of that in the book but I did not receive it. What I am trying to say is that these novels did not attract me that much and I expect the next books are hopefully better.
