I was ultimately disappointed with the end of this book. It really didn't live up to the standard of the previous "Star-flyer" novels, set in the same universe.

Once again Hamilton managed to provide a thrilling ride for the reader as the main characters raced towards the climatic end, but ultimately it was a let down. The antagonists provided weak arguments, and just faded into the background, while our heroes stumbled their way to a utopian end where everyone came away with butterflies and bunny-rabbits.

Hamilton really needs to put more thought into his endings. They always seem to be his stumbling block.
