I must say that this is the longest book that is as incredibly boring as it is that I have ever finished.
This book should have been interesting, but it seems as though Gandhi chose all of the boring parts of his life to write about in the book.
In the beginning of this book Gandhi seems to be a self-righteous boy. He like to tell the readers what he thinks that all children should learn. Sigh.
He also seems to simply leave his family out of his life entirely for long periods of time going off to some other country. Granted he did have an arranged marriage and was married at thirteen, but I personally think that when he and his wife had kids he should very well have paid more attention to them. (There's me being the self-righteous one.)
Gandhi seems to get better as the book goes on. He is less controlling of his wife's decisions and allows a little more freedom of thought, but he never seems to overcome entirely his problems. Go figure, he's human.
