This book was not only an inspiring book but also was a great sports book that could be read over and over again. This book is about 12-year old Michael who is an amazing pitcher and an all around great baseball player. Unfortunately Michael has to face many problems in his real life outside of baseball. Michael's family is not a true American family and therefore must face the price of hiding there secret throughout their lives. In this time in his life Social Services is on his back trying to figure out who Michael is who his family is and where they came from.100
Mike Lupica shows that he can truly write straight from the point of view of the main character. Not only is the story inspiring and entertaining on its own but it also makes the reader feel as if they are Michael. Every detail helps you feel as though you were in his place, feeling the way he feels, and experiencing what is going on in his life. If I did not know better I would believe that this book was the actual life of Mike Lupica.100 I would recommend this book for people of all ages especially for baseball fans. This is a fun packed book for people who love sports and also for people who just love to read. Mike Lupica has out done himself with this book and is continuing to write great books for people to enjoy all the time. This book is a great book written by a wonderful author.
