This book is an enjoyable read. Excellent story about the development of sabremetrics and how Billy Bean used it to develop the A's. Billy Bean's seems like a bit of a scary guy; but like all savants, he has a few idiosyncrasies. Interesting assessment that Billy thought himself out of a professional playing career, yet decided to stay in baseball and join the front office.
