Jonathan Perfect review. "Brevity is the soul of wit."

This reminds me of A History of the World in 6 Glasses, which my book club read. I tagged that one as dry too. Yeesh.

Julie Bell I really wanted to like it; and I have to admit I did learn a lot of interesting facts. However, it was slow going at times. The best chapter was about India. Ghandi fought for salt rights (who knew?). The most interesting fact was that harvesting salt around Liverpool caused random sinkholes. This is the classic example of how individual benefit can cause harm to the masses. Remember this when you weigh the benefits of (de)regulation. =)
