I am a DIEHARD Harry Potter fan. This book is just such a quick breeze-through read. When I first read it I was AMAZED with how J.K. Rowling seems so flawlessly able to compose a wonderful world of magic lying just beneath the skin of the real world!

PROS OF BOOK 1: quick read, introduces you to the characters, perfect for young and older readers alike.
CONS OF BOOK 1: somewhat slow moving for some people, don't go in expecting explosions and battles and action (that comes later in the series).
