really liked it
bookshelves: novel, crime

This book is lovely to read for the style and language alone. So it was with great pleasure to read a story that is so matched to the writing. Yes, redemption, loyalty, family bonds are powerful subjects and when coupled with a genuine sense of parental love, what a powerful read. The ending makes sense in that context and isn't a cop-out.
